I am aware that mosquitos can pose a problem in Greece, but what is the situation like in Corfu?

I think that you will find that they can be a problem - even the locals get bitten. We have been bitten quite a few times recently. We are trying a preparation that is new to us and purchased locally. It is Citronella and camomile. It seems reasonably effective, although not 100%.

I have noticed some people wearing bands on their wrists or ankles which they claim to be very effective. One couple had one on their baby's wrist and claimed that in nearly two weeks, he had not suffered a single bite.

If you know you have problems with mossies, I suggest that you are simply careful. Wandering through olive groves in shorts, t-shirt and trainers is not to be recommended!

There are plenty of preparations available at supermarkets and pharmacies, many of which you will be aware of from the UK, such as Autun. Some people claim that citronella candles are a good repellant outside. We have used these along with some of the 'Vape' smouldering coils on our balcony. We are not entirely convinced!
