The weather can be quite wet during the winter months. Some people complain that it gets cold but we would suggest that cold is a relative thing. The comedian, Billy Connolly is reputed to have claimed that there is no such thing as cold, just inappropriate clothing! We leave you to make up your own minds.
Should you venture to Corfu between November and February expect serious rain! Having said that there are often days where the sun shines and the skies are blue. Well, you didn't think that this island was so green by accident did you?
In September, expect the occasional very heavy showers. These usually (but not always) get progressively worse the further into the month you go and October can be quite wet. Having said that, we have experienced some beautiful weather in October and for that matter in November too.
From September onwards, I would recommend a cardigan at least for anyone who feels the cold if you intend dining out in the evening. A kagoule although not elegant has been found useful during September and October. They don't take up much space either.
Generally speaking, June, July and August can be VERY hot.
March April and May are beautiful. Yes, you can expect rain and temperatures are not up to the summer months temperatures but the place is very 'alive'. If you are into serious walking, we would suggest that this is the time for you. The spring flowers are magnificent.
Check out the link on our site to http://www.wunderground.com. At the bottom of their page is an option for historical weather reports.
Finally, a word to the wise! The sun is VERY deceptive. Use HIGH FACTOR SUN BLOCK, particularly on children. Be sensible. Not only is sunburn or sunstroke very uncomfortable, but skin cancer is potentially fatal! Next time you are here, take a look at some of the white cats with no ears!! It has nothing to do with them fighting. (I'm not kidding!)
