This is something of a red herring for more than one reason!
Firstly, The Invisible Kitchen, run by Ben and Claudia, is certainly not a taverna! It is a very high quality restaurant in the little hamlet of Pythos. The simplest way to find it is if you take the road to Peritheia and instead of turning left as if heading for Loutses and Old Peritheia, carry straight on past the kafeneion. Pass the turning for Vouni and you will come to Pythos. Park on the road and walk about fifty metres and you won't miss it!
Then the next anomaly is that it is NOT open during the summer months. Instead, Ben and Claudia specialise in outside and event catering.
They will undertake everything from that sophisticated dinner party that you might want to hold at your villa to wedding parties. All the food is prepared especially in their modern kitchen and delivered in their refrigerated transport where needed. If you have something special in mind, we recommend contacting them to discuss your needs.
They can supply everything from the food to the tableware and even the tables and chairs if you need them. We can't imagine a better way of catering for a large number, leaving you totally free to enjoy your function in the company of your guests. You don't even have to worry about the washing up after the even either!
Now lets get to a winter visit to their restaurant! The restaurant is a beautifully renovated property and comfortably furnished. During the colder periods, there is a blazing wood burning stove to keep you warm. The menu changes weekly and can either be found on their website or delivered straight to your mailbox by email.
I was trying to think of a suitable way of expressing our feelings about dining at The Invisible Kitchen. I think that I am going to paraphrase an entry that I made in their guest book after we took a crowd of friends there for Tricia's birthday. ...
Great food! Great place and Great people! We can't wait for winter.
I just wish that we knew enough people to justify having them cater for us during the summer!
