One of our favourite spots in Corfu serving traditional food, wines and beers. Taverna Nikolas is a traditional family run taverna offering an extensive menu of traditional Greek food. It also caters for children and the less adventurous.Try out their daily ‘special’ dishes.
It is run by Periklis Katsaros and his family. The taverna was originally started by his grandfather and Periklis is determined to maintain the traditional atmosphere. The taverna has featured in several UK television programs and newspaper articles.
It has been visited by many famous people over the years. Check out the visitor’s book(s)! A regular boat taxi is provided to ferry you from nearby Kalami and Nissaki Beach Hotel. There is deep water mooring if visiting by sea. It is also a pleasant daytime walk over the cliffs from Kalami.
There is always a ‘buzz’ in Taverna Nikolas and the atmosphere is always good. We marvel at how long Periklis keeps going and at the speed he does!
We first found Taverna Nikolas on the second day during our first visit to Corfu. We have never stopped going back. It is fair to say that the kindness, generosity and general philoxenia of Periklis and his family have been major contributors in our decision to reside here.

The second taverna of three in Agni Bay, between Taverna Nikolas and Taverna Agni. Fish is very good and their ‘signature dish’ of Toula’s Prawns’ should not be missed.
Deep water mooring if visiting by sea.
